Oboist Kyle Bruckmann's creative endeavors span a dizzying aesthetic range, from a traditional Western classical foundation through the furthest reaches of today's avant-garde. He performs regularly with orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout the San Francisco Bay Area while working within a vibrant international community of improvisers and sound artists.

His thorough conservatory training is augmented by a love of the wider world of musical expression, extending his activities into genre-bending gray areas encompassing free jazz, electronic music, post-punk rock and noise.
