"Kyle Bruckmann's discography paints a picture of a modern day renaissance musician." (Adam Strohm, Dusted Magazine)

Oboist Kyle Bruckmann's creative endeavors span a dizzying aesthetic range, from a traditional Western classical foundation through the furthest reaches of today's avant-garde. He performs regularly with orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout the San Francisco Bay Area while working within a vibrant international community of improvisers and sound artists.

His thorough conservatory training is augmented by a love of the wider world of musical expression, extending his activities into genre-bending gray areas encompassing free jazz, electronic music, post-punk rock and noise. Frequent touring and appearances on more than 40 recordings have led to his recognition as "one of the leading practitioners of the difficult double-reed instrument" (Jason Bivins, Dusted Magazine) and "a seasoned improviser with impressive extended technique and peculiar artistic flair."
